Registration for the prostate cancer symposium on 5 November 2024
Dear Colleague,
We are pleased to invite you to participate in our 11th in-person symposium on prostate cancer, which will take place on November 5, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
One in eight men will develop prostate cancer during their lifetime. It is the most common cancer in men, with more than 5,000 new cases detected each year in Switzerland. Although relatively common, prostate cancer is not a death sentence. In fact, it is one of the most treatable cancers, particularly thanks to advanced diagnostic methods and the effectiveness of available treatments.
For 11 years, we have created a radiology platform dedicated to urology – Uroimage. This initiative has allowed radiologists and urologists to collaborate closely on an independent diagnostic interface, thus providing patients with high-quality and efficient diagnostic tools, particularly for the prostate. These tools are validated through multidisciplinary and radio-pathological conferences, a database, as well as scientific collaborations.
For the past 5 years, we have been certified as a Philips reference center for prostate imaging.
This forward-thinking project, bringing together urologists and radiologists, is available to all urologists and is also open to collaborations with private clinics and the University Hospitals of Geneva (HUG).
This year, we will bring together several renowned specialists to discuss prostate cancer, its screening, treatment, and personalized patient care. A masterclass will also be held on November 6, from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM. We look forward to welcoming you!
